From Antalya to Cyprus in the middle of January

Bering 70 recently made a trip from Antalya to Cyprus. The distance of more than 420 km was passed within 26 hours.
We left the port of Kemer at 6 p.m. on Friday and following by the full moon started our journey across the absolutely calm sea. We were lucky that the weather in the middle of January was sunny and the predictions promised the sea would be smooth for several days.
The aim of this journey was to deliver the demo version of Hysucat RIB 28 to be available for sea trials in Cyprus.

Bering 70 provided the team with all the possible comfort during this trip. Having spent the wonderful evening onboard, our team had rested and stepped into the sunny morning with the Cyprus lands already in vision. The plan was to ride our Hysucat and cross the distance of 100 km left in an hour and a half while the Bering 70 would continue crossing at its speed of 8 knots.
Our route was the shortest one as we didn’t travel along the shoreline but directly to the destination point.

The Bering 70 delivered us to Cyprus at 8 p.m. on Saturday while the Hysucat was already there for approximately 5 hours. The combination of the Hysucat and the Bering 70 allowed us to dream of the many adventures and journeys we could take. It gives the owner the freedom to get to any destination with the speed of a Hysucat while also granting the option of resting on the Bering.
All sea trials for the Hysucat were performed successfully and we’re ready to spread across the new regions with our unique hydrofoil catamaran technology.

The weather during the way back home was also good but waves were about a meter and a half. However, our team wasn’t disturbed by this.

The mission was a  total success. The sea trial on Cyprus with the Hysucat and Bering once again proved the safety and comfort in a long journey with the combination of these products.

As every boat builder has a long history, Bering Yachts has models that are popular among our clients and followers. One of these models is the B70. Two of these hulls we launched not that long ago: Ra has been set to sail in 2019 and Levanna – in 2022. Since then, we have been collecting feedback from the owners, and have improved this model by adding features that made B70-family boats larger and better capable for coastal cruises. As we have discontinued building 70-foot models, the improved B78, one of which is currently under construction, became a better replacement for this popular yacht.
