Bering 110 Hull Turnover Marks Next Stage of Construction
Bering Yachts has completed the hull turnover of the first Bering 110, one of the most requested models in the shipyard’s Superyacht Division. A representative of Red Yacht Design also visited the shipyard. The studio is responsible for both the exterior styling and the interior concept of the 33-metre explorer superyacht.
Once the steel hull is turned over, work moves on to the aluminium superstructure, systems installation and interior outfitting. For a full-displacement yacht of this size the moment is significant: the structure that will carry the vessel across oceans is now in the orientation it will keep for the rest of its service life.
The Bering 110 was conceived as a crossover rather than a scaled-up explorer. It pairs a robust steel hull and a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles with the volume and refinement more commonly found on larger superyachts. Twin engines deliver a comfortable cruising speed of around 10 knots and a top speed of 13 knots under half load. With a fuel capacity of 48,000 litres plus substantial fresh-water and provision storage, the yacht is designed for weeks of self-sufficient operation with 10 guests and 5 crew.
“This boat is for people who choose real exploration, long voyages far from shore and a genuinely comfortable life on board,” said Alexei Mikhailov, Founder and CEO of Bering Yachts. “The design and layout have been developed to take the owner’s wishes into account at every stage, so that life on board is as practical and comfortable as possible.”
Red Yacht Design kept the exterior lines clean and contemporary while retaining the practical deck arrangements and tender capacity expected of a serious long-range yacht. Inside, the same studio has created a noticeably calmer atmosphere than is typical for expedition vessels. Warm woods, carefully controlled material contrasts and an asymmetrical salon that maximises usable width and the visual connection to the sea.

Construction of the first hull continues. Further updates will follow as the superstructure is fitted and the interior spaces begin to take form.
