Bering 165 Superyacht Construction Begins with Keel Laying Ceremony

Bering Yachts has officially begun construction of its flagship Bering 165 with a keel laying ceremony for the first hull. This marks a significant milestone for the company’s newly established Superyacht division and the start of building one of the most anticipated explorer superyachts of 2026.

From Vision to Steel

At 50 metres LOA with a 9.13-metre beam and 499 GT, the Bering 165 is purpose-built to redefine what a true transoceanic superyacht can be. Developed in close collaboration with Swiss studio Valentin Design (exterior styling) and Aberton Yachts (general arrangement), she introduces a sophisticated five-deck layout that feels significantly larger than her length suggests while retaining full ocean-crossing capability.

Built for True Long-Range Exploration

The Bering 165 combines Bering’s legendary steel explorer DNA with refined luxury and exceptional autonomy. Powered by twin Caterpillar 1,300 hp main engines, she offers a comfortable 10-knot cruise and a top speed of 15 knots. With a 70,000-litre fuel capacity, she delivers a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles — more than enough to cross any ocean without compromise.

“The B165 is built on a strong engineering foundation, allowing flexibility for optimization and customization throughout the build process. As the project progresses, we expect validation of the design performance, completion of system integration, and finalization of onboard comfort standards. Ultimately, we believe this yacht will stand out as a well-balanced and highly capable long-range vessel.”

Intelligent Layout & Superyacht Comfort

The general arrangement features one of the most intelligent and flexible 50-metre plans currently available: 5 guest staterooms plus a dedicated owner’s deck in the Pleasure configuration, or 6 guest staterooms for charter use. The owner’s deck forms a private sanctuary of nearly 70 m², complete with a full-beam master suite, large en-suite, walk-in wardrobe, separate study/lounge, private pantry and a secluded aft terrace with sunbeds, Jacuzzi, sofa and coffee table. The bridge deck combines navigation with social spaces, including an indoor-outdoor lounge, sit-up bar, day head and open-air cinema with a firepit.

A Major Milestone

“This boat has one of the most thoughtfully designed layouts we’ve seen in the sub-500 GT class. It’s packed with smart, practical solutions that make living on board incredibly comfortable and functional.”

“This is a very special project for us at Valentin Design. I’m genuinely thrilled with how warmly the market has received it and the strong interest it’s already generating in the superyacht segment. We are happy to create a yacht that feels truly unique and perfectly tailored to what today’s clients are looking for.”

The rapid sale of hull №1 confirms strong market confidence in the model. Discussions for additional hulls are already underway.
