The Bering 92 Papillon began her journey at the end of 2022 by starring in the first season of the Bering Life project, navigating the Mediterranean (Greece, Türkiye) with ease, even during severe storms. This adventure highlighted her robust design and seaworthiness.
Following her Mediterranean adventure, Papillon was transported to the Bahamas, where she successfully completed several charter trips, delighting guests with her luxurious amenities and performance. Her presence at multiple U.S. boat shows, including FLIBS, Miami, and Palm Beach, garnered significant attention from journalists and potential buyers.
One of the most notable expeditions was a whale-watching project at Silver Bank in the Dominican Republic, showcasing Papillon’s versatility in diverse marine environments. Partnering with Yachts for Science, an organization that connects yachts with researchers and marine scientists, Papillon participated in a scientific expedition to study endangered humpback whales. Hosting 13 scientists, filmmakers, and Bering employees, Papillon provided Bering-style hospitality throughout this government-sanctioned expedition. Despite challenging weather conditions, all objectives were successfully achieved thanks to the stability and robustness of the B92.
Papillon’s capabilities were further demonstrated during her venture to Jamaica, where she anchored for extended periods in regions lacking well-equipped marinas for large yachts. Her technical excellence, consistent with all Bering yachts, was evident.
Most recently, Papillon completed a transatlantic crossing under her power, passing through Bermuda, the Azores, and Gibraltar. This journey, taking just over three weeks, was completed without any technical issues.
