A New Bering 78 – The Keel Is Laid

With great pleasure and pride Bering Yachts is announcing the keel laying for its new B78 yacht. The beginning of life for this under-24-meter displacement boat has been celebrated by the future owners and Bering staff at the shipyard in Antalya, Türkiye. This vessel will be the 14th on the Bering stocks at the moment, and the first model of this size manufactured by the company.

B78 is an improved version of the popular B70 model. After several years of exploitation and collecting feedback from the customers and crews, Bering engineers and designers have introduced modifications to make the B78 an ideal coastal-cruise boat.

The specifications speak for themselves. With the 23.85 meters of overall length and 6.62-meter beam, this yacht has over 95 tons of displacement and is capable of carrying 6 guests and 2 crew members for over 3,000 nautical miles. Powered by two 285-HP engines, she has top speeds of 10 knots with the cruising speed of 8 knots. A maximum draft of 1.45 meters will allow this boat to comfortably cruise in shallow waters. A reverse-raked bow, rare in the boats of this size, will allow for a smoother, more stable ride.

The ultra-modern outer lines of this yacht are matched by the crisp design and contemporary materials used for the interior arrangement and materials. An improvement from previous 70-feet Bering yachts, B78 has larger staterooms, with the possibility to customize their number and layouts at the design stage, and a more spacious engine room. Space and comfort are the distinct features of this boat.

A seamless blend of the saloon and the pilothouse accompanied by the large glass panels create a crisp and airy ambiance while aboard. A huge sunpad, located forward of the pilothouse allows plenty of room for relaxation, just like the partially covered cockpit featuring a wealth of sitting space at the luxuriously finished table or on the freely-placed deck chairs. The flybridge, with its sleek and modern design, is also functional with two captain’s chairs mounted forward and a guest settee and the table just aft. The aft desk is also carrying a tender and a powered crane.

Scheduled to launch in 2024, the B78 will be a worthy addition to the safe and luxurious fleet of Bering under-24-meter superyachts.
