Bering 80 Veda undergoing sea-trials

Bering 80 Veda is currently undergoing extensive sea-trials in the South China Sea and she is available for viewing throughout August, in Zhangjiang, China

The full displacement steel yacht is currently the flagship of the Bering fleet and the fourth vessel in the Expedition Class series.

Dressed in dark blue steel, the boat is the heaviest in her class, displacing 485,000 pounds (220 tons) and has a fuel capacity of over 12,885 gallons (48,775 liters).

Her masculine blue/grey, crisp, and striking exterior is complemented by a classical rich Makore interior mixed with marbles, granite and hand-crafted furniture.

Spacious, elegant and practical, Veda‘s massive 25-foot 8-inch (7.8 meters) beam gives her an immense amount of onboard space and the ability to comfortably accommodate eight guests in her four luxurious staterooms and four crew members, all with en-suite bathrooms.

Veda’s interior design is timeless and benefits from exquisite craftsmanship, fine art and cutting-edge design. The main saloon is a large welcoming space; filled with natural light, hand-finished furnishings and state-of-the-art technology

The outstanding level of design and craftsmanship continues below deck, where both the owner’s stateroom and guest cabins offer privacy and extravagance in equal measure.

She features cutting-edge noise and vibration insulation solutions, which the shipyard states will contribute to a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere on board. The vessel is fitted with a SidePower hydraulic stabilizer system making her stable and comfortable in all weather conditions.

Veda is powered by twin Cummins QSM-11, 350 HP engines, has a range of 6,000 Nm at a speed of 9 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 12 knots.

Bering 80 is a true expedition yacht, maintaining the quality finishes and the typical luxury of a yacht.

At this time, there are 5 B80 hulls – one launched and four in construction. The popularity of this model can be easily explained – B80 is the longest available boat that has an under-24-meter load line. We have decided to discontinue this model, and now offer our customers a B88 hull instead. This improvement in size has not changed the main advantage of this boat – she still has an under-24-meter load line length. With other performance indicators, such as displacement and range, improved, this updated model allows the owner to have more comfort and luxury in the yacht that still has a very comfortable size.
