Bering Yachts has released a new sea trial video of the Bering 88, a steel-hulled explorer yacht designed for serious offshore cruising in all weather conditions. The video is now available on the Bering Yachts YouTube channel and provides an in-depth look at the vessel’s performance, onboard systems, and technical infrastructure.
The Bering 88 is powered by twin Cummins QSM11 engines, each rated at 450 HP. It offers a cruising speed of 8.5 knots and a top speed of 10.5 knots. With a fuel capacity of 39,755 liters, this explorer yacht boasts a transoceanic range of over 5,000 nautical miles.
During the video, Captain Fırat offers viewers a detailed tour of the helm station and demonstrates a comprehensive suite of navigational equipment, including radar, engine monitors, autopilot, chart plotters, and communication systems. These tools allow for safe and accurate voyage planning across vast distances.
The walkthrough continues into the engine room, where the captain highlights the Bering 88’s robust technical layout. The vessel has twin main engines, dual generators, hydraulic systems, advanced fuel filtration units, and an integrated fire suppression system. The engine room’s design prioritizes reliability, redundancy, and ease of maintenance—core principles of Bering Yachts’ engineering philosophy.
The video also captures the Bering 88’s exceptionally quiet interior and smooth ride in open-water conditions, emphasizing the vessel’s capability as a luxurious expedition platform. From its timeless design to its technical depth, the Bering 88 is built to deliver comfort, safety, and reliability on long-distance voyages.
“The Bering 88 is built to take you anywhere — with comfort, safety, and reliability at every step,” says Alexey Mikhailov, founder and CEO of Bering Yachts.
