Bering Yachts Turns Second BC60 Hull at Bulgarian Shipyard

Bering Yachts has achieved a key milestone in constructing its BC60 Expedition Catamaran series: the successful hull turnover of the second unit, currently under build at the company’s modern shipyard in Burgas, Bulgaria.

The hull flip, a critical phase in aluminum yacht construction, marks the transition to superstructure assembly and outfitting. A new behind-the-scenes video captures the process, which demonstrates the precision and craftsmanship that define the Bering brand.

The second BC60 hull is following the first unit, which is currently under construction at Bering’s Antalya facility. These builds reflect the growing demand for ocean-capable catamarans that combine comfort, range, and rugged performance.

Bering Shipyard Bulgaria: A New Production Powerhouse

Located in the port city of Burgas, Bering Shipyard Bulgaria has quickly become a vital part of Bering’s global production strategy. The facility is designed for full-cycle construction of aluminum catamarans and steel displacement yachts.

Outfitted with modern machinery and staffed by an international team of experienced professionals, the shipyard is supported by strong regional and government backing. Bulgaria’s Schengen membership, geopolitical stability, and proximity to key European suppliers ensure efficient logistics and integrated supply chains.

“Seeing the second BC60 take shape in our Bulgarian shipyard is an exciting milestone,” said Aleksei Mikhailov, CEO & Founder of Bering Yachts. “This project exemplifies our ability to scale production while maintaining the bespoke quality Bering is known for.”

Looking ahead, the Bulgarian facility will expand to accommodate the construction of full-size steel yachts and superyachts, with the capacity to run multiple large-scale projects in parallel.
